My daughter’s whole family just had to move

From red state to blue state, they had to choose.

With fascists in power their dread would alarm them.

So they chose to leave so their state couldn’t harm them.

They chose to have freedoms, a vote with a voice.

Autonomous bodies with freedom of choice.

And for all of you assholes who voted for fascists,

Or for a third party to burn us to ashes.

I might forgive you, in time, but I’m done.

You’re out of my life, you lost, but I won.

I know who you are now, you don’t give a shit,

About rights for all people that you have now hit

In the face with white power that puts all in danger.

And you don’t give a damn that you hurt us in anger.

Your choice that hurts all, you will live to regret!

What you’ve put us through, I will not forget!

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life , liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

All of these rights were proclaimed at our founding.

So many still fight for these rights, it’s astounding.

Women, black people, and LGBTQ

Inalienable rights we still have to pursue.

For we still aren’t equal to wealthy white men.

Especially now, we’re regressing again.

Why must we march, begging for rights?

Innate and intrinsic, we should not have to fight!

Make OUR freedoms legal along with free will!

Who we love, our own bodies, and our vote be instilled,

As rights for posterity, we must finally be Equal.

Inalienable rights for all “We the people”!

How many believe, “I’m not a racist”?

If you question their hate they always say this.

When they don’t believe in systemic racism.

They don’t believe in a white privileged system.

They don’t want a person of color above them.

Don’t want races mixing, might like, but not love them.

If a person of color has their status upgraded,

They’d better be grateful enough or they’re hated.

If you can’t deny all of these things you’re a racist.

Unconscious or conscious these two are the basis

Of racism’s hold on our lives and our systems.

If we don’t call it out we can never resist them.

And heal from within, then from inside to out.

To change people then systems and bring this about

The ones who are healing racism must say this

You are racist until you become Anti-Racist.

Make America great again?? Was America great when we first began?

Were all people equal with inalienable rights? No, just the wealthiest men who were white.

Were we great when we conquered and wiped out the natives? When we marched who was left to their forced reservations?

When we kidnapped black people by force and enslaved them? Then “freed” them with promises, we never gave them?

When we didn’t help Jews fleeing from Nazis? Our country is guilty, we did these atrocities.

America has never been great, is the truth. Our foundation was built using force and abuse.

With disdain for the other, we denied their humanity. To believe we have ever been great is insanity.

So now it is time to rebuild our foundation. Open the heart and the soul of our nation.

Atone for our sins of the past that were lethal. Create a new country where we’re all truly equal.

Then on the 4th of July, celebrate, we have healed from our past and can finally be Great! ❤️
