Overseers

Their skin is dark but they take part oppressing their own people.

To oversee won’t make them free, will never make them equal.

They’ll play their role and sell their soul to get a sense of power.

Walk on backs from brown to black to clean up ivory towers.

In hopes to share the wealth in there; one day they might arrive.

But there’s no way white men can stay supreme and let them thrive.

So now it’s time to stop the crime of hating who they are.

They must embrace, themselves, their race, quit jumping white men’s bars.

The only test they need to best is overcoming fears.

Til they arrive where freedom thrives, no place for overseers.
